Dear COPAS Members and Prospective Members,

Membership in COPAS of New Orleans is just the beginning of tremendous opportunities in our dynamic industry. Your membership provides educational and networking advantages, along with the opportunity to participate in establishing Accounting guidelines and procedures utilized in the oil & gas industry.

Our 2017-2018 year begins in September, and with that comes renewals and membership applications. On our website,, you will find membership information including an application, an RSVP for the first meeting, and an invoice for membership dues. The invoice includes information on mailing your dues payment.  For prospective members, our forms may be reproduced and distributed.  We ask that you try to sponsor one new member.   Feel free to bring your prospective member to our September general membership meeting (with no guest fee).  Please complete the application and submit payment by September 30, 2017.

COPAS of New Orleans will continue to have many exciting opportunities for our members in the upcoming year. We are planning the Education Day to be held in October where our members can earn up to four CPE credits.  We will also continue the tradition of our Annual Spring Crawfish Boil, which is definitely a highlight of the year.  More information regarding these events will be sent later in separate email communications and will be available on our website.

Dates for the first two meetings will be Wednesday September 20, 2017 (first general meeting, 11:30 AM at the PanAm building), and Wednesday October 18, 2017 (Education Day, 8 AM – 1 PM, PanAm). In November we will participate in the Joint Industry luncheon (Date TBD).  There will be no December meeting, and we tentatively plan to have general meeting the 3rd Wednesday of Jan., Feb, March, April (Crawfish boil), and May 2018.

We, the board, will be working hard along with you to keep the New Orleans Chapter of COPAS a vital link to the industry. Please do not hesitate to call upon any one of us.  We encourage your active participation throughout the year for the betterment of our profession, individual companies, and the petroleum industry.
